Destination Disney…….Patrick + Katie’s Wedding

Have I ever mentioned how much joy Michelle and I get from photographing weddings?

Every bride and groom has a story all their own, and by getting to know our couples and having the honor of being with them on the big day at the very moment they embrace a life of commitment with each other forever, we have the luxury of being reminded that “love is the greatest of all”. Seeing the look on a grooms face as he first lays eyes on his beautiful bride, the look of true love and the blissful emotions they express as they stare into each others eyes as if they are the only two people left in the world, reminds us constantly of what it really means to be in love with each other. There is no immunity to it, it never gets any less emotional, and each time I can’t help but look back at Michelle only to fall in love all over again with my soul mate.

Patrick and Katie’s love story began at mutual friends’ wedding where they both served in the wedding party. Maybe they felt the same emotion we experience at weddings. Maybe it opened up their hearts to each other allowing them to become the happily in love couple that they are now.  After all, they have been together ever since.

Being avid Disney fans, and not having the time to plan a big event in their hometown of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Katie and Patrick opted for a destination wedding at the magical Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. The intimate wedding took place on Disney’s Boardwalk with their closest family. Beautiful colors of chocolate and red graced the ceremony as well as the bridal party, which was made up of the couple’s siblings (6 between the two of them, I would say that’s a wedding party). As the violinist played an enchanting melody, Katie and Patrick were married under the setting Florida sun. But this was not the end of Patrick and Katie’s celebration, several days later upon their return to Arkansas a Fall Harvest themed reception was held in their honor allowing a multitude of family and friends to share in their celebration. Patrick and Katie, we enjoyed being a part of your wedding and getting to spend time with your amazing family. Congratulations to you!!!
