If I had to categorize our style of photography I would start like this – lifestyle/fashion/modern/photojournalistic. It’s not one or the other, it’s not more than the other, it’s eclectic as are we. In our business we’ve struggled to find OUR voice, but as we slowly are it’s becoming very important for us to “attract” a client that is right for us. Our clients have seen our work and love it, they have seen our silly videos and love it, they trust our creativity and love it and most importantly they want what we are selling, which is photography that “speaks” to both Matt and myself. I can’t say our business is at that place yet, but I have HOPE it will be in the future.
One of our senior models, Jenna Poe from Lee Academy, gave me the perfect opportunity to bring this topic up. I chose several images below of Jenna which provoke emotion because those are my favorites for many reasons (which is another blog post all together). This is the kind of images that we are passionate about and want to share with the world. Jenna was so worried she would not have a good “serious face” for her images. Well Jenna Poe I think you rocked it girlie!! I love your seriousness!!
Thanks to Jenna and all the hard work she is putting into our senior program. We look forward to seeing all kinds of great things from you on your senior year. Also thanks to Jenna’s entourage that accompanied her on the photo shoot and acted as our assistants.
If you would like a senior session like Jenna’s, be sure to leave her a comment below for a special discount code!
One more thing, if your ever unsure how to dress for any session, take a cue from Jenna. She was the perfect fashionista!
