We live in a rural area where there’s either fields of crops or small towns past their glory days. In my eyes it’s beautiful, and having been given the chance to see outside of small town life I’m humble to my new but familiar surroundings. I’m rambling on about this because we shoot most sessions on location and I’m always told by the client “there’s not any place cool in my area” and my response is “I’m sure we will find something you wouldn’t imagine.” The point is, we don’t need a cityscape to provide the obvious texture and color for our sessions. Since moving to a rural area we are forced to be more creative with our location choices and I think our photography has greatly improved because of it.
Our session with Elise Stevens, our new senior model rep for Bald Knob High School, was taken in an antique train, a gutted/abandoned store front, and a refurbished park/amphitheater which served perfectly for her sweetheart personality. Every small town we have visited recently has provided us with interesting elements like these.
Thanks to Elise, Andrea, Abby and Maresha for enduring the heat and the long session. If your looking for a fun senior session with mlittlephotography leave Elise a comment below for a special discount code.
